When a topic of paramount importance like ‘Ethics, Manners
& Etiquette’ is tossed on to the corridors of internet readership, how
would people react – with dismay? What response should one anticipate from
general public? Cool - tepid or sullen?
Obviously, no eyebrows would be raised since the subject matter does not
carry appeal in an age that is galloping towards a peak of human discoveries. A

Through
Creation of the universe was by no means an accident. However, creation of man was, by and large,
one that was waiting to happen. This so
called blissful accident made man the apple of God’s eye. A similar apple in the Garden of Eaden
Creation was manifestation of divine will, artfully
conceived by Almighty to blend infinite with finite, spirit with matter and
grace with image. This benign act by a
merciful God enabled the first man and woman namely Adam and Eve breath an air
of envied supremacy, brood upon a subdued arrogance only to be content with a
sullied perfection! Incidentally they
were little aware of the magnanimous act of creation whereby God, per force had
to accommodate spirituality in a realm
of humanity which act is yet to sink in to the minds of present day humanity.
It was His profound love for human beings which prompted
the Supreme Godhead to create man in his own image and likeness. As a matter of
fact all the glory and celestial splendor God lavished on legions of angelic
spirits He created served no purpose, as a large portion of them chose to flout
His supreme command thereby incurring Divine wrath.
The foregoing paras may sound like fiction to some or
humbug to others. Be that what it may,
it is pointless to dispute facts which concern God and His creation. Besides,
one should not ignore a universal belief or the implied truth that God alone is
Supreme and He alone is infinite. The rest of creation including the angels and
spirits are finite beings each in their own sphere of existence, liable even to
be made extinct if they ever attracted almighty’s displeasure. This follows
that the only being that is immune to finiteness is God, who alone wields
infinite, eternal, omnipotent and omniscient power incomparable to any other
being traversing the length and breadth of heaven and of Earth.
The Writer has dwelt at this length on the topic of
creation to merely convey a key input that, let alone the celestial beings and
any or all known or unknown spirits falling under the so called creation, man
or for that matter all human beings are wholly and fully responsible for spreading,
spearheading or trading in evil to the extent of maligning that symbolic act of

went the buzzer. It was time to put

erupted with a deafening commotion. It
struck hard, pointed, sharp and sound.
Its yell pierced through the silent hours electrifying everyone in to a
startling stir. With a dart and in a
matter of a split second its peals broke out of the leash. In a veiled but high pitched outburst the
alarm edged out of its dormant cord to echo to the world a need to leave bygone
past behind. The suddenness with which
it set off the alert had everyone up, on the task and in to the chores from
where each had last left.
Alarm plays a key role in paving the way

of course when any technical snag disrupts the functioning. No wonder that because its mechanism has been

Alarm

device also acts as a wake up buzzer for people whose preoccupations may have
their concentration focused to other areas of activity and which may
necessarily demand a caution or prompt for getting back to specifics and
priorities. Essentially and symbolically
the alarm occupies a very important place in everyone’s life, for the simple
reason that it is this one dumb device which positively sets aside the
negative, odd, monotonous and inactive past for the world to clinch a novel and
prospective future.
Can
one imagine a scenario where there would have been no alarm to signal an end to
that nocturnal or inactive phase in one’s life?
How weary life would have been without an instrument like the alarm tugging
at one’s sleeve or sounding a buzzer to alert people to get back to their
responsibilities? Yet this weird
instrument does all that and more.
A
casual look at all the excitement which follows the alarm would convey what the
drama is all about. Literally speaking
it is more or less a race to fall in line with the rest of the world and that
too through dint of hard work. It is a
race to lead than to be led by a people of lesser denomination. It is, as a matter of fact, a hot pursuit by
people with focus to achieve the front rows of a fully developed world thriving
under advanced technology, calculated methodology and concept oriented
sophistication. Times have
advanced. The world is already on its
toes to race past mediocrity and dream castles, which can best be left to
flatterers, hypocrites and adventurers. There is need for motivation. There is need
for decisiveness. There is need for
people to adopt a highly innovative, meticulously churned, skillfully organized
and deftly conceived strategy which can withstand inherent pressure from
diverse sources and on every front and still manage to successfully advance
with thrust in a society that would be compelled to endure or absorb
competition. And competition is one key
aspect which one would need to face determinedly in order to excel in life.
Alarm
makes competition possible. It enlightens
the world to come alive and to stay alert.
It provides people with that dint of scare that should send people on
their toes because with the advancement of time, ambitions of people too have
soared to heights of inaccessibility. But
in order to achieve an unenviable rank, attain a coveted position or ascend to
level in the manner and spell that the world of today demands, as also in order
to advance to that ultramodern age or century and come abreast of people and
generation that have decisively forsaken their leisure and comfort with intent

Maulana Wahiduddin Khan, a renowned
Indian National and the noted Islamic Scholar states that people who experience
a scare at one time or the other during their lives go on to emerge a superman
in the post period of their lives.
Maulana continues with his assertion that “shock or scare is the
language of nature”. It needs to be
translated in to its precious worth and he who does that perseveres to aspire
for the crown which ought to be the finishing line for all who eye the
ultimate. A successful man invariably
manages to convert that shock to his advantage by shunning its negativity.
For

the past is only an afterthought needing no review as it has already been known
and experienced; the present is a proposition to evolve a direction; but the
future is, by far, an anticipation for redeeming what lies ahead even before it
came knocking at the door of people. And
when all is said and done, there is a far superior spell, an episode to be
precise, having a pronounced but superlative advantage over every other
sequence of time and age, which remains to be explored for the advantage of
individuals and society as a whole. Such

fostering that spirit of cordiality among various segment or society as the
case may be. However, it is important that relation among
human beings be kept healthy, graceful and sublime so that the society does not
get maligned or contaminated through overindulgence through human
instinct. As long as the equilibrium is
maintained there will always be that divine transformation of human fondness which
makes people stick together in one fold.
Unfortunately,
the unscrupulous elements of the present day society have lowered the dignity
of this valuable concept called relation by converting the fundamental concept
of human charisma for monopolizing their clout of arrogance with least regard
for the good of society and the world.
It is with a view to stem this descent to depths of hooliganism that
“Ethics” has stood up to segregate the material craving in human beings to be
replaced by a spiritual excellence.
There
is a general tendency by a section of the people to treat this graceful concept
of human relation casually for making others subservient to their arrogant
diktats. In effect, the present
generation has stooped to irretrievable levels of hooliganism and vulgarity by
making a bonfire of that human relation for the sake of their arrogant
retorts. This has become a universal trend
and its repercussions too are being felt all around, not only in utterances of
people but in their temperament, mentality, inclination, morale, attitude et al. People have so to speak adopted and got
accustomed to a forceful mentality of ignoring the core aspect of fondness
among human beings which, after all is the essence of divinity, universe and
the whole of creation. Such unhindered
and reckless use of human relation to contaminate a key element which was
instrumental in the creation of human beings by God Almighty does not in any
manner augur well for the future of the universe and human race as a whole.
These
shortcomings by unscrupulous elements have largely distanced people one from
the other, muddled human relation and even enabled drawing a vicious circle
around petty minded people resulting in creation of barriers to progress of
people and society in a very specific manner.

Remember, it is always easy to dream big but finding room enough to
ground those dream castles, one needs to primarily assure oneself of a solid
ground, physically, mentally and psychologically.

even after millions of generation piling up to over four billion years of
existence, man is yet to reconcile with that omniscient feat of divine
architecture which perforce bestowed a human form naked of spirit, mysticism
and divinity. It more or less revealed
that infinite love by the Creator for His creation, who were mere finite human
beings. Yet, millions of years of
existence crowned by a promising stretch of achievements on all front, only
made these human beings depend scarcely or scantly on the ever accelerated flow
of divine shower by God Almighty, which gives a grave cause for concern.
Believe
it or not, as of today, everyone carries a certain level of arrogance. Everyone is eager to project himself as someone
different from the other. Everyone is
inclined to barter a little piece of counsel eager to display himself as
champion of champions. Everyone wants to
lead others from the front, that too in a manner that would attract others in
to believing that he is the leader with necessary input or influence. Everyone is eager that an undeserving justice
be done to him while he himself administers an over doze of injustice to people
around. Similarly, everyone aspires to
be a judge as a result of which justice itself gets converted to being a
casualty and truth the victim.
There
is need to educate the masses on the right attitude needed to be maintained while
interacting with people of all age, category or group. There is need to display a modest outlook, a
meek attitude and a docile approach towards others for creating an environment
attractive to peaceful living. There is
need to educate people on the need to promote a life of righteousness, good
morale and conviction which form the core of spirituality and which alone can
enhance the prospects of a dignified living.
And these traits comprehensively form the essence of “Ethics” for which
there is need to step out of that narrowing mindset to allow the world to
progress collectively in the company of people of all category, profession,
lifestyle or even of other areas, deprived of or otherwise.
Everyone
cherishes a yearning within to have people around who would reciprocate his
feelings in the hue and measure that should best appeal to people. Everyone values the goodwill of people around
in order to attain position of invincibility in whatever sphere or area that
might best suit one’s taste. Likewise, everyone
focuses his eyes on achieving the impossible because as finite human beings
everyone is entitled to aim high and of course, even sky is no limit for
satiating one’s passion to acquiesce in. So then where is the hitch and what input is
needed to spur people on for achieving the impossible? A life of “Ethics”!
“Ethics”
dwells primarily on motivating people to abide by laid down norms for according
due dignity to life and creation. However,
in order to enable this, it is important that one establish a firm morale to
boost the finiteness of human nature for balancing the ever diminishing graph
of human ascendancy to a level of acknowledgement by the Almighty.
“Ethics”
carries with it a singular and reality advantage namely a power to explode the
myth of devil’s pestilence, a vision capable of dealing a deadly blow to
pulsating vulgarism, a key element needed to defy the evil namely the Supreme
Power which can annihilate the evil and pave way for collective ascend to
positions of excellence.
Every
upright and righteous person would at one time or the other need a spiritual
prod, a motivation or a goad to attain positions impossible. Remember, the world comprises of people of
diverse mood, varied nature and of course people with divergent attitude. And the winner needs to be prepared for the
worst in order to secure the best.
Moreover, it is important to remember that the universe is positioned on
two very crucial but uneven pathways, one dominating the other, namely good and evil. Any attempt to advance on an even keel or on
a parallel scale would require an extraneous but formidable source of input or
influence. This apart, as a result of the
finite-ness of human beings loaded over with the force of evil or devil making a
phenomenal attempt to wean away the good in retaliation for having to stay an
underling or subdued as against the omnipotence of Divinity, there is need for
people to have recourse to a celestial concept which ought to outdo the evil

However,
one must not ever expect time to stay static or the pathway to success or
achievement to come one’s way spontaneously and in the measure that one might so
desire. The universe is awfully thronged
by people of varying temperaments and the path to a decisive future is
compellingly inaccessible. In order to
get along well with people of all levels, all categories and of character,
there is need to adopt a mode, a mood and a move conducive to excelling at
God-speed or at best, make a transition from an old self to a totally new one. Obviously, in order to get along well with people
around, in order to engage one’s qualities at competitive levels and in order to
run the race to a finishing end, one must possess the required input, knowledge
in abundance as also nurture the aptitude that can best make the opponents fade.
When
all is said and done, it is of paramount importance to insert a word of caution
to people making a bid to excel in a very prominent manner. At the same time, there is need to
specifically caution people not to jump the fence in order to capture the
essence of “Ethics” at one go. The
writer intends, by way of a concerted effort, to restrict any overdose of negativity
finding its way in to lives and pathways of people in general, which is likely
to endanger smoothness of progress for the sake of unrestricted
advancement. It is also the intent of
the writer to guide people adroitly to trace any and all deficit of
spirituality which can best match the celestial concept namely “Ethics” for
upgrading people’s confidence for the sake of an unhindered advancement. It ought to be borne in mind that life and
creation, or for that matter the creator of the universe never intended to
project short-cuts to achieve the infinity through finite means. It is always an exercise to achieve the whole
through parts and pieces without having recourse to a grab which could possibly
entail in even the pieces so piled up coming off the block to have the exercise
started anew!
The
universe has touched down a stage where everyone wants to merely act for the
sake of acting only, no matter whether he truly can or not, whether he
possesses the input to do so or not and whether he actually belongs to the
forum to which he could be rightly called to act or not. In most such instances, as a result of such
or similar impersonation where people of lesser category in large numbers have
taken centre stage without appropriate input or capacity, even the very
audience have melted away leaving a void for the world to watch. Activities which had for long been the target
of people thronging for greener pastures have consequently been left behind for
people of no consequence because these elements who for long treasured a craze
for wealth, fame and reputation have opted to demean the very honour and
dignity of life at the cost of honour and dignity of people of essence. Is this the reality that today’s world is
facing? It is, or rather it is puffed up arrogance playing truant with positive
optimism or divine love, which in effect was the essence of creation and the
one blissful hierarchy of divine omnipotence.
Unscrupulousness has become rampant and the world is being taken for
ride by nefarious elements by whom life itself is being shorn of dignity and
honour – truly a slight of the very Creator and Almighty namely - God.
There
is need to enforce attitude and to add momentum to that one sublime concept
called “Ethics”. Attitude alone can
prompt others to sense the need to give company, share their feelings or to
reciprocate a gesture. This is what the
present day world lacks and which we commonly ought to have recourse to namely
“A righteous life”. And obviously, such
aspirations can only be attained through a life of “Ethics”.
Moreover,
in order to attain a vertical climb in every aspect, physically, mentally,
socially or economically and in order to enhance the prospects of one’s life,
career, social set up, be it among public, neighbors, friends or be it on the
road, on the street, in the office, in a community, in a gathering or be it
during the day, night or any odd hour, during the week, month, year or all
through life, one must project a self that can sell heartily and
copiously. What would that desirable
self be which, if projected with the appropriate rhythm, manner or hue would
find acceptance among people of every class or community? “Ethics”!
The
hour of reckoning is here. The long
awaited moment has come for disabling the alarm and for winding in to position
that unique and supreme concept namely “Ethics” of the series “Ethics, Manners
& Etiquette”.
“Ethics”
intends to dwell at length on an immensely vast subject embodying the one only
sublime concept of universal magnitude.
It is an infinite concept that is directly linked to creation and
divinity.
It
is time we acknowledged the enduring reality of life called Ethics! Can we
translate today’s waywardness with a need to transform ourselves through a life
of reality, a life of Godliness with a life of Ethics? Do we take a closer look
Ethics
is the soul of man’s intellect. Ethics
is the color of every dark spell. Ethics
is the shrill of every stifled yell.
Ethics is energy to numbness.
Ethics is truth behind every falsehood.
Ethics is life that defies death.
Ethics is the ornament which adorns every righteous individual and
people of conviction. Ethics is Alfa and
ethics Omega, both of which when interlinked with divinity reveals the supreme
Godhead or the Omnipotence of Almighty namely God. Those who wish to secure a future must take
heed and start with a life of ethics or else perish life and the universe with
him.
Humanity the world over is in a state of
turmoil as of today. Not that any hitch
ever developed in its mechanism where no such apparatus ever existed. Neither have the wheels of fortune got
retarded through many centuries of exploitation . Then what is all the glitch about? ……Soft!
The technicalities of life have dipped to a turbid ebb whence a retreat
or retrieval of originality might hang on in suspended animation if timely
remedy did not show up .
Man and his entire race laughed their way in
to many centuries of lavish existence.
Pomp and aggrandisement took man to heights of arrogance. He made a bonefire of the freewill generously
bestowed on him by divine bounty. He
even made abusive use of the freedom to live a carefree life no matter whether
his conscience allowed it or not. In
effect man brought to naught the very concept of divine being or divine
bounty.
For centuries, he impersonated divine
justice by stamping on the head of innocent human beings to the extent of
subjugating them to helpless slaves.
Hapless humans were thrown in to cages of lions and wild animals to be
torn to shreds on the plea of minor culpabilities, while he atop the arena
watched in a fit of mirth and entertainment.
Similar innocent beings were left at the mercy of gladiators to combat
at the cost of their own lives likening the bout to a cockfight where one
mercilessly tore the other to pieces of corpse.
Instances of ‘Sati’ where for centuries altogether innocent girls or
women were unjustly made to die on the pyre of worthless males who had satiated
their criminal lust for flesh on the bodies of these very innocent
females. Greed and avarice made male
elements ravenously plunder the wealth of families of girls for whom giving a
girl in marriage amounted to emptying their life long savings. Select group of religious hotheads made
genital abuses the exit route for their greedy frustration.
Die-hard bigotry, ill conceived religious
fervour, inordinate opportunism, political obsession, self-centered constraints,
physical allurements, absurdity of views, competitive arrogance, simmering
discontentment, petulant authoritarianism, concupiscent vulgarity etc.etc. have
all made human beings stoop to levels of stinking hooliganism, potential
vulgarity, unbarred obscurantism, discriminating conservatism, deadly obstinacy
and tearing concupiscence thereby allowing room for an unparalleled
disillusionment.
Let us repeat it. We made a bonfire of our free will, our
freedom to live a carefree life no matter whether our conscience allowed it or
not. We failed to cut to size our
weaknesses which as a result grew in to strong points for the devil to bargain
with. We delayed bridling our excesses
which through a passage of time converged to become bulwarks to tout human
beings beyond the periphery of a so called border. We forced ourselves in to precipices of foul
mouthed frustration and we lost the very creator who breathed life in to our
many years of existence. Jesus Christ
had warned “Everyone who humbles himself shall be exalted but he who exalts
himself shall be humbled”.
“Ethics” the alarm is at your door with a
caution handed down by Jesus Christ Himself “If you wish to be more perfect,
take up the cross and follow me”
“Ethics” is a celestial concept embodying
human aspirations that has been singled out by man to broadly narrow down the
rift separating God, the Creator and man His creation. It more or less symbolizes a crowning concept
featuring all aspects of a lesser divinity embodied within a spirited urge
existent in man to be near to or to be united with his Creator. However, this yearning by man has invariably
remained unfulfilled on account of man’s failure on most occasions to abide by
divine precepts primarily due to his innate weakness or his finite
constitution. Whatever his drawbacks may
be or howsoever encumbered man might be, he or for that matter, all human
beings would be required to exert their total self and find favour with the
Almighty if they ever wished to attain the fruit of creation, both in this
world as also in the next.
In order that man achieve this objective as
also for safeguarding the interest of human beings in general, “Forum Ethics”
of the series “Ethics, Manners & Etiquette” is deploying its utmost
capacity to act both as an alarm to awaken the world out of a subconscious slumber
as also to assist people to remain focused in their endeavour to excel at every
stage to the fullest extent possible but within the norms of decency and decorum
of attitude.
How does “Forum Ethics” of “Ethics, Manners
& Etiquette” define this vast topic known as “Ethics”? What does “Ethics” mean for a world galloping
away at giant strides in to a horizon of stupefying formulations and scientific
discoveries?
“Ethics” conforms to a full-fledged profile outlining
core features of a human being emerging straight out of a creator’s hands. Such a profile would, while being chaste of
all inequity and blemish, would also be focused on maintaining a clean and
virtuous image worthy of respect in the eye of his creator as also in the sight
of other human beings.
Such an upright and righteous human being,
besides possessing a morally sound background, would be capable of withstanding
all or every onslaught befalling man on account of man’s finite constitution,
weak nature and unfathomable human flaws.
Moreover, a righteous human being
would be endowed with that intrinsic spiritual expertise to be capable
of emerging unscathed out of whatever adversities that may lash his finite
frame.
“Ethics", in a unique sense, defines
the right and effective pre-requisite needed to successfully achieving
excellence in life. Further, it is a
unique concept which provides focus to mindless elements that inhabit the very planet
wherefrom human beings derive scores of benefits that accrue in course of
lightening advancement by people and society.
As a corollary to whatever has been
described supra there is need also to reminisce that the basic truth namely “Ethics”
holds no substance to the Creator who after all is the fountain of all goodness. But it carries a universal identity having much
more meaning to man than what creation meant for the created, namely the human
beings, since it is the only lifeline that may enable human beings to survive
the tempest of pestilence constantly being let loose by the devil day in and
day out. Moreover, having survived for millions of
years on the same planet and having encountered adversities galore at the hands
of the devil as also on account of conflicting permutations of human finite-ness
of people around, that chaste form of “Ethics” would be hard to find among the
present day generation.
In the wake of such an out of form “Ethics”
as prevalent today, on account of centuries of advancement by successive
generations of people, it would be absurd to cherish theming an appropriate
definition for an awesome concept like “Ethics”, and the closest rendering
affordable on the plea of a definition is for people to abide by conviction,
true conviction. A life of conviction
would be sufficient for human beings to attract the shower of divine approval
and so keep the devil at bay for a lengthy period of time.
Being fully aware of the stranded plight of
present day human beings who have mostly strayed out of their focus of morality
and virtuousness, solely on account of misconceived notions and extravagant
voluptuousness, as also apprehending a
tumultuous backlash by the devil to unseat
man of his proximity to God and his Creator, “Forum Ethics” has emerged
out of a hitherto brief pause to awaken man and the world out of its subconscious
slumber lest the worst occur and man lose sight of his Creator as well.
Learned men, writers, thinkers and
philosophers down the ages have defined “Ethics” in a very broad perspective by
enlarging its scope to an ‘eternal law’ in terms of morality and
virtuousness. The specifics so detailed
by these eruditious personages cover a wide spectrum of human actions,
connected intentions, related outcome and the subsequent repercussions, many of
which, if analyzed in detail, might as well be subject matter of lingering
controversies.
Morality, unblemished purity and graded virtuousness
are topics which make an individual a perfect human being. Undisputedly, an ordinary human being is not
expected to aspire for divine perfection, neither was this ever even intended
by the Creator too. However, human
perfection to the extent of an ordinary human being achieving a grade of
excellence barring minor flaws here or there, which is but the core of human
nature, may still qualify to be termed as perfect in the basic human form and
human nature. Needless to say, the
Creator or God Almighty who had very deliberately created man a grade apart
from but definitely within the realm of human finite-ness and that too way apart
from the finite-ness of spirits, did have in mind that His creation aspire to
find favour in His sight through human nature only rather than setting them at
par with the spirits where the devil could have no access to tempt the spirits
or angels.
“Forum Ethics” defines “Ethics” as a
positive, selfless and convinced stance, expression or judgement adopted, pronounced
or communicated without the least human respect as to who commits what and with
due regard for the perceived outcome rather than the negativity which it might
generate on any or all of the audience.
How and when does ethics or a life of morale
enter in to the life of man? Or to put it the other way about, how is “Ethics” conceived
or what actually induces man to embrace “Ethics”?
As a child, man puts to use his dependence
on his parents for fulfilling his aspirations so that his actions might carry
conviction. Man derives the so called
conviction from the maturity of his parents.
His combined innocence in the company of his matured parents places him
in the category of a righteous human being falling within the norms of
ethics. But as he advances in age his so
called ethics get diluted and he starts imbibing those odd characteristics which
do not qualify to be considered as such. In the process man starts distancing
his proximity to his own parents in search of an identity of his own as a
separate entity. Here he loses his
conviction only to be retrieved in fragments at a later stage through his own
efforts. He also falls prey to his own
adversaries at whose hands his own identity or “Ethics” undergoes a severe test
of his actual identity.
It is a universally acknowledged fact Satan
is constantly lying in wait to ambush or to bring to naught those outstanding
features which make man shine in the sight of God. However, as is bound to happen, God protects
the righteous ones from the clutches of the evil foe namely Satan by giving a
helping hand through inspiration.
Inspiration, in a broad sense, can be
considered as a hushed up communication by God with select human beings found
worthy in His sight. To these people God grants the grace of partaking of the
mysteries silver lining the link between divinity and humanity. Through this
medium of communication the elite of God are provided with events and incidents
that may have transpired billions of infinite years prior to creation, which
gives man a glimpse of what transpired earlier and which have now reached this
portal through that very sublime grace namely inspiration granted to select
people by Almighty Himself. There is
therefore, no reason as to why we ever need to raise our eyebrows at the
instances of revelation or truth conveyed by God through selective groups of
people.
Righteousness, reason, intuition, instinct,
conviction and inspiration when clubbed together make what we commonly call
ethics. In short, Ethics being an
integral part of “Ethics, Manners & Etiquette” may be viewed as the great
archway to success, fame, reputation and stardom.
In simple language, “Ethics” is that
spiritual art which enables human beings to recognize, respect, reciprocate and
advocate equanimity in all aspects of life.
“Ethics” demand that we project a positive frame of mind in all our
dealings, our activities, our interaction with others no matter what such
attitude may cost us.
We each have our own problems. May be financially, physically,
temperamentally or even by way of our own attitude. But the question is – are we ready to act for
the betterment of others or for the world as such? It is all up to us. We may do well to individually or
collectively assume the responsibility of being instrumental in a facechange
for the world and humanity?
“ETHICS” of the series “Ethics, Manners
& Etiquette” is a step in this direction.
Can we achieve the impossible? It is up to us to work our way up. May be it may take us a whole life or we may
even have to make long and tedious journey through ego-centric-quake-prone
areas of a turbulent humanity but one day – let us be positive – we definitely would
succeed. Then we shall look back with
pride to formerly celebrate our journey through “Ethics, Manners &
Etiquette” to the delight of all concerned.
However, for the time being the writer is
focusing on apprehending those primary aspects which ought to lead us to a
situation where we may be able to formerly launch a competition in to the
society which should resemble the Latin saying “Si isti et ille, Cur non ego?”
“If he or she can (be good), why can’t I”.
Achieving the goal is definitely an undaunting
task. But if we have the good of others
in mind and a determination to take such a painstaking task to give the world
company, then the world is ours. Come,
the goal is set and the destination no farther than our yearning to be united
with the beloved, the One only omnipotent, omniscient, all encompassing supreme
spirit and the Supreme Godhead namely God Almighty.
Faith, worship, belief,
religion etc. are all man made solutions evolved with intent to do away with
solitude arising out of a finite life having to be lived by man in the company
of finite beings like himself. But the
real concept or the soul of one’s thought or one’s acknowledgement or to put it
precisely, one’s leaning towards that One only omnipotent, omniscient, all
encompassing supreme spirit namely God Almighty was no outcome of man’s
dreams. Rather, it was the word of God
passed on from the infinity of eternity in to the finiteness of human mind
which notion acquired a so called vocabulary for human expression only, namely
‘inspiration’. The essence of
Inspiration is therefore, a mark of God Almighty’s love for His own creation namely
the human beings.
Through inspiration God
enlightens man, kindles hope and dispels the turbulence of evil arising out of
manipulations by the devil from gaining an upper hand over man’s own
tribulations or human wretchedness.
While the entire human race has for ages managed to survive under the
guiding feature of God Almighty’s love, man on his own manages to tide away his
miseries having to live on or to survive within the limited resources at his
disposal, that too by the sweat of his own brow till he returns to dust out of
which he was created. Up till then he
reposes his trust in his creator for his well being.
The world progressed
through many ages, stages and generations.
However, despite several millions of years in existence, these finite
beings never managed to come by that
totality of love, peace and serenity.
As such, the only remedy for human beings in order to survive the
horrors of an agonizing life in extremely trying conditions was to repose their
trust in the never known but fully experienced power of the Supreme Godhead,
the One only omnipotent, omniscient, all encompassing supreme spirit namely God
Almighty.
Religion was never dictated
by God to man. It was the totality of an
experience by human beings themselves which kindled a hope within the core of
their yearning to exist on and on and on within the periphery of that Divine
nod namely love of God and love for His creation.
Even though no other
religion save Christianity was ever ordained for divine approval, yet man’s
finiteness forced human beings to conceive diverse faiths and beliefs, each
staking claim separately to be in total command of Almighty’s revelations and
spearheading dogmas only to vainly establish a non-existent fact that these
faiths and religions had the divine approval.
In this, the ploy by the devil worked and his (the devil’s) prod
continued to make man ascend the ladder of power through nefarious means while
at the same time chanting the name of God Almighty for an eyewash to hoodwink
other inhabitants and groups on the same blue planet namely Earth.
Acting at the instance of
the devil and with a view to drumming up support for their petty minded
idiosyncracies, scores of unscrupulous and mischievous elements with little or
no education to their credit but daring to circumvent facts and figures for
taking on established truths and logical conclusions, managed to arduously put
together diverse concepts under the notion of a concocted faith or faiths. Gradually the newly emerged concepts or dogmas
(to put it better these fabricated religions) started gaining ground with huge
chunks of following making a beeline for succor that these guardians of the so
called religions exhibited as capable of providing. Relying on the fabrications of divinity as
envisioned by these cheap elements and stung by the ostentatious projections
with varying twists and turns of finite stories, episodes and anecdotes as
envisaged by these guardians of new found religions, most restless and
disillusioned public became avid devotees of such concoctions.
Having made nitches of
arrogance through fabricated pieces of myth, ancient beliefs or assurances of
material benefits, these custodians of the new found beliefs have more or less
duped not only the hapless human beings but even made projections of equality
with the Supreme Being, vying independently to establish separate notions as
the underlying truth where none existed.
The present day society is
only a fall out of such haphazard beliefs, the consequences of which is there
for people to trace in the manner in which the present day society has got
degraded to a chasm of abusive hooliganism.
The diverse beliefs which so sprung up subsequently either under a cult
or by people owing allegiance to such myths and stories started making these
very religious platforms for asserting their own version of invincibility to
the extent of even persecuting their own believers or by giving undue share of
adulation to images and spirits of ancient people. (Closing comments to follow)
