CONGRESS PARTY - where search for dynamic leadership ends!

2014 is round the corner.  Speculations are already rife regarding the outcome of 16th Lok Sabha Elections slated to be held sometime during the first half of next year.  Although it is too early to make surmises on what the outcome of the elections would be, still there is no denying the fact about the likelihood of a single party emerging favorite of the masses to be in a position to usher in a new government, the tenure of which should end somewhere near the 20th of the third millennium (viz. Anno Domini – Year of the Lord).

Incidentally, the year 2020 is the earmarked or stipulated period by which time the universe would have advanced to a stage of blistering developments.  These so called developments ought not be ignored as hearsay rumors nor should it be bypassed as casual inferences.  Rather, the year 2020 besides being a leap year must certainly unfold to the world a scenario where many of the smaller countries would have risen to the status of developed countries.  How would India, the largest democracy in the world fare in such a scenario? Where would its credit lie?  The countdown cannot be ignored, nor would it be feasible to allow the remaining years to ebb away in to haphazard years of no consequence.

Anno Domini or the year 2020 is envisaged to bring about a series of most spectacular and stunning developments, the occurrences of which would have dazzling effect on the entire world.  As already stated supra, 2020 is the likely age when many of the present day smaller nations would join the elite among the many developed countries.  India has great potential being a large nation besides being in possession of requisite resources, input etc. for making it big on the world stage, provided it acts with discretion.  However, as the election time advances, the discretionary powers more or less vest with the masses.  The Indian masses are aware of priorities as also where each party stands in the reckoning.  People of India are also acquainted with the agenda of each party, strategy adopted by each besides the positive or negative aspects as the case may be which normally fuel a tug-o-war between opponents where the people form the core group gain a lead in manipulating the choice of likely victor and boost the confidence of fence sitters.  However, the responsibility at this stage is wholly on the shoulders of people.  As the nation progresses towards an impressive age of mystifying global changes, India needs to be safely hovered on to shoulders of the most responsible hands or party and people whose credentials must possess among others virtues of honesty, dynamism and vision.

Undoubtedly, there are going to be surprises both for the nation and for people.  One is assured that the 16th Lok Sabha elections are likely to conclude on a promising note.  A new government having clear mandate with whopping number in Parliament is likely to emerge capable of facing a scant opposition.  What exactly makes one aver such notional guess with so much certainty on the likely outcome of the aftermath and post-election scenario?  Evidently, the collective say by people who are to decide on a would be outcome has not yet been revealed.  Nor have they revealed their card either through ballot or through a media engineered poll or at best through a massive popular demonstration up till now?  Hence, where from such optimism? Elementary!  UPA-II witnessed two consecutive terms which hardly allowed them a breathing space.  The aspirations of the masses which rendered the government the needed mandate to govern the nation were belied, hopes dashed and expectations unfulfilled, all because of a swelling opposition gagging the very essence of a governing body.  What with all the street demonstrations coming from none other than Kisan Baburao Hazare on the one hand and his break-away ally Arvind Kejriwal giving street shows making the very government look like a laughing stock.  The Opposition too kept flaying the initiatives of the government leaving the very institution of Parliament in a state of melancholy.  The tone and tenor of opposition in Parliament corroded the morale of government forcing dissent and disenchantment among its very allies.  The swing of democratic fortunes experienced tremendous set back.   Nowhere in history has India experienced such tantrums resorted to by the opposition installed in Parliament to the detriment of a government having to make do with a notched up alliance.  The concept of a constructive opposition was lost among the crowd and the government left fuming to feel its way to attempt a stage back through the ensuing elections.

If the UPA-I was lost to the din and dilution of policies and related issues by the CPI (M) the UPA-II was an attempt to reduce governance and enforcing failures and pandemonium on a government in a manner that its achievements could well be projected at nil.  The long and short of it all was like a section of people in connivance with the opposition in Parliament  vainly attempting to reduce the power and mandate given by another section which group alone had the good of government in mind.   Such a scenario or state of affairs need to be arrested if the nation is to progress and hard decisions adhered to which would tell on the future of the nation.  Issues which deserve priority ought not be assailed through whims and fancies of opposition or regional parties, much less through uninterrupted street shows.  Unfortunately, the opposition namely BJP and various gangs of disgruntled elements in collusion with some regional trouble makers and sulking leadership made the present government halt many issues which called for priority.  The government was forced by evil forces and vested interests to retrace its steps on key issues.  These evil forces and regional hurdles need to be identified, swept aside or ignored and the nation returned to the hands of people who have the best of interest of people and nation in mind.

The image of Congress Party today looms large on an extremely prospective scale with a full- fledged team of core men and woman fully engaged in giving this widely diverse nation of over 1.3 billion people a direction.  With the party all set to launch its vigorous campaign for the 16th Lok Sabha Elections due to be held during 2014, there is all round activity by party stalwarts and allies within the UPA not leaving anything to chance. Although the UPA government’s second term did see a great deal of communal flare-ups under stray and disgruntled elements who, as usual, have been creating undue hue and cry on the issue of corruption, nonetheless, the party maintained a distinct show of determination to meet all such unsocial elements from carrying away the sanctity and reputation of the party and nation by allowing time for the people, issues and interruptions abundant reflections to be sorted out with priority.

However, it has been the undaunted stand by party that remedy for all ills need to be addressed or attended to with caution and diligence.  As such, all attempts to browbeat the party and allies by the national opposition namely Bhartiya Janata Party in connivance with stray communal elements need to be struck down with élan, thereby such wanton attempts to disrupt the normal functioning of government by the opposition has totally failed to give any jolt to a government which is well entrenched at the helm of affairs of the nation.

Congress Party is fundamentally a single idea which united millions of countrymen to engage in a fight to achieve freedom of the land from alien power at the cost of their own lives. Consequently, Congress Party stands as the one only entity with chaste resolve to see people and nation aligned on top of the world map. There is therefore, no denying the fact that the Party is seized of the issues that are bogging the nation namely communalism.

Time and again ripples go up the headlines and media with lot of loose talk making rounds regarding formation of a third front.  This is normally followed by elated discussions among regional parties and stalwarts.  Soon ecstatic bouncers from some of the upbeat and never dying critics projecting individual image bring about some hitch here or there.  As normalization of ties and related modalities follow, the talk of a PM’s hood underway gains momentum.  Close on the heels of hood for PM’s chair more aspirants join the bandwagon, as if to say, the next time you read the morning newspaper you might be in for a strange surprise with headlines flashing names of a wild gang of PM’s hood opting to run the race.  As ramifications of the tussle for the PM’s chair get wider and its echoes get felt in other states, several unworthy elements start making a dash for the same hood with one or the other hitch coming in the way of one or the other parties, and the whole issue of weaving a united front ends up in a non-starter and gradually the talk which gathered momentum for a week or so recedes to its inevitable end.  This puts an end to the empty drumbeat on the much talked about third front.  In effect, the tussle by communalists or hooded elements is all about getting at the power center which alone is uppermost in their minds.

Out of the six national parties approved by the Election Commission viz. Congress, BJP, CPI, CPM, BSP, NCP there are only two prominent parties with recognized rating on an all India basis namely Congress Party and Bhartiya Janata Party.  However, looking at the scant appeal held by Bhartiya Janata Party at the national level the only party having a conspicuous hold over the entire nation happens to be Congress Party.

As curtain fell over the fourth year of its second term, Congress Party frantically fumbled about the years and files of both the UPA term which have become a part of today’s Indian history. They needed a narrative to qualify the many achievements made during the last nearly six years.  How would a party find an achievement which the very people of India are witnesses of?  Much has been listed, much talked about and many more publicized for people to assess prior to preparing to vote.  Congress Party was convinced that it had vibrated its intent within the convinced minds of hitherto calm witnesses awaiting the nod of election commission. However, one singular message, one singular achievement and one singular success to its credit that the party made silence of not intending to divulge it or to assert leaving the people of India to divine on their own was that Congress Party was no party to the commotion made by the opposition, the regional parties, the corruption mongers and the communalists who deemed it appropriate to scare the government off the power center.

Congress Party demonstrated with emphasis its will to achieve much more than what ostensibly the opposition namely BJP or the regional parties like BJP, TMC, SP, DMK etc. would have allowed them to do.  And this alone was the greatest achievement of a party that dared do much but for the vilification campaign let loose by the opposition, the tantrums resorted to by regional parties and the commotion indulged in by stray hoodlums mongering corruption which, in effect, never existed.

CORRUPTION

Corruption does not exist.  There is no corruption and all talk of corruption is a myth. It is hereby reiterated with emphasis that there is no corruption as is made out and in the measure some stray, blunt and ignorant elements want to portray the nation to be in.  Does this sound Greek to some?

The nation was never free from chaos, turmoil or incidents causing enormous hardships to public. Highhandedness, nefarious activities, atrocities, brutalities, butcheries, wars, murders, kidnap for ransom, match-fixing scandals, hijack, criminal assault, loot, theft, burglary, extremism, cross-border terrorism, civil strife, communal riots, dowry deaths, rape of innocents, plunder by people, tax evasion, snatching and pickpockets, theft of vehicles, arson, labor unrest, hoarding of essential commodities, pilferage of items, marketing day to day items & essential commodities at exorbitant rates – and what have you?

Nevertheless, India never forsook its development plans, activities and programs. The government did not ever throw up its hands fed up of the anarchy and chaos committed by its own people.  It did not blame the citizens and people who stood to benefit from the progress the nation was making through unstinted efforts of a government that was awake to people’s problems. Today the same nation is capable of hoisting Common Wealth Games, Olympics and like events which project the nation as a force to reckon with.

All the developments took place at the behest of a party nurtured to its existence by people of eminence, dignified people who had a dream to see India on top of the world map.  However, the country was never free from high-handedness by vested interests by people who savored freedom yet preferred luxury and comfort to commitment and hard work.

People who lived for more than 60 years – this writer included - and watched the nation progress steadily by huge strides, step by step, are witnesses to a dream being logically fulfilled. Only recently India was counted among the underdeveloped countries and later on with the passage of time came to be projected as an undeveloped country which eventually found itself competing for top slot as ‘Super Power’.  A nation could not have progressed this far had it been under a spell of corruption by its own people as some blunt elements want to term it.  Years of yearning by renowned and dignified people of eminence who streamlined a path to climax and had the nation bloom in the horizon of a new dawn, a new age and a new era with minutely planned strategy for development as also reared up noble minds to handle the overall political realm of a free India are never devoid of statistics.  All this occurred at the behest of a national party, which churned out a direction for a people who hardly measured up to attaining basic education and know-how.  As of today the nation owns a novel vision, a novel vista and a novel periphery to include the world in its reckoning.  Do not these aspects show India in a new light quite ahead of the reach of the existing twenty-first century? And the credit for such leap by a free nation of diverse communities would surely go to the Indian National Congress alias INC or better put as Congress Party.

The nation could not have progressed this far, had the country been under a spell of corruption by its own people as some blunt elements want to convey to public on the roadside.  As a result of these blurts by blunt elements whose utterances carry neither reason nor rationale, a parallel system has been created to the detriment of an elected government at its helm with tremendous set back to the progress the country is making.  All cries and outbursts heaping allegations of corruption on government and dignitaries are frustration by people who, not only possess lack of will to fight public menace rather it is a mode of revealing the hollowness within that cannot bear with others earning through means of their own shrewdness and intelligence.    Apparently the so called allegations just boil down to mere humbug.

No. Within the soul of the nation, within the government manned by Congress Party in alliance with regional parties, there is truly no corruption. Their minds are focused with a determined resolve to keep corruption, if any, at bay.  But the indulgence by public under the hood of opposition, communalists, extremists and criminals tend to undermine the efforts put in by human beings within the government and the end game by public within gain the edge over facts or truth. When the custodians of people’s rights themselves come under fire or onslaught from a rampaging public or one might put it as parallel extremism straight from the road, the focus loses its grip and the nation has to take the beating for a fault committed by public themselves.  No, I still emphasize with strictness & clarity of purpose that corruption does not exist – rather public menace does. And one such menace happened to be Kisan Baburao Hazare who having propelled a crusade against corruption has had to take a backseat because corruption never existed in the manner and in quantum he alleged it did to the extent of belittling a government elected by the people.  However, now that his confident Arvind Kejriwal has deserted him for his sort of fame climbing from one electric pole to the other only to emit his perspirations, the crusade started in the name of corruption has practically waned out to be a far cry which would never be substantiated.

How long will some mean minded people keep parroting their monotonous rhythm called “Government is at fault?”  How do these few rare specimen find fault with a government which is seized of the whole crowd of 1.3 billion barbarous instinct-driven people who are hell bent to commit hordes of crimes, merely to find others their scapegoat.  Have these ruffians made it their point to commit crimes to defame the government and law enforcing people and create excuse to take to streets?  Or have some communalists found it expedient to enact crime mongering merely to disturb the rhythm and peace of the nation?

Where exactly is the nation ailing in?  It is all in the system called democracy which allows any ill-bread or illiterate elements to fling aspersions on any one he likes or dislikes.   It is all in the system that lacks synchronization.  India as such is grappling with irregularity in the system, not corruption

A colossal error by ancient people in their attempt to pull down curtain over a spate of heinous crimes, cruelties and atrocities meted out on poor innocent people groaning for ages under the yoke of suppression and slavery by feudal lords and monarchs gave birth to a mistaken system identified today as democracy.  Although the mistake of giving a right to people for standing up for a right to life or right to exist or be it even for a freedom to breathe ease, has been dragged on for centuries to make it elastic to the extent of mauling up the very system which today appears like a noose fit for a band of criminals. Incidentally, this very system – read democracy -  along with the freedom and privileges graciously granted to an unworthy and unsuspecting mob stands converted as a right to assert and freedom to kill at will, even the very people entrusted with responsibility of protecting the people or to govern them in their best of capacities.

Today, the same democracy or a system put in place to safeguard the interest of people who were made to bear the brunt of powerful and highly placed people has become a blunt instrument with the rulers having to engage their own people for their own security or to become targets of mob ire or atrocities.  For trifles one would find mobs rampaging the nation and property with demands that appear to them a right, whether or not such a privilege is within their rights or feasible or convenient to be enforced over people of other classes and categories is conveniently bypassed.

A few decades later one might as well expect to see people wielding sticks, lathis, knives, swords, revolvers and guns, may be even machine guns to demand their rights as enshrined within the constitution. This could as well be a departure from the present day say by mobs and multitudes pouring out on to streets, roads and highways, demanding what according to their interpretation is their deemed democratic right to bring government and its dignity to a level of dust.  There is a crying need to make people realize that, that was not what democracy is about.  There is no shortcut to any solution and the least that the people can expect is to allow the solution to wind its way down to the lowest citizen of whatever class, category or profession he might be is to trust the elected representatives of people and government.

Going a step further I might even add that such actions belie all propriety due to the land and the Constitution. Allowing the public and the masses to unnecessarily and en masse poke their nose in to functioning of the state machinery is an affront on the oath of secrecy and confidentiality to which the President, his entourage, the government and the dignified people are strictly elected to abide by.

Corruption or scams as the present day people report has crowned many a disgruntled element such as V. P. Singh who went on to become PM under a united front government.  However, no one who achieved a crown through vile means as Singh did has managed to retain and secure it for long.  V. P. Singh is no more but his ghost would if it could to return to the people to emphatically state that it was a gross error by him to have allowed suspicion to fall on a higher dignitary, in this case Shri Rajiv Gandhi himself. Likewise, the same Shri Rajiv Gandhi became victim of aspersions of scams or corruption but was later exonerated by the same people and land of such allegations having such aspersions remained un-substantiated.    However, who among the present day commotion and crusaders of corruption deserve being named as a menace to peace and communal harmony?  The communalists!  They are hankering for power and the only way to achieve it is by be-smearing the government, defiling the constitution and diverting the progress the nation is making for the good of its people.  Communalists have become a menace for the nation and people and the manner in which they are going about their agenda could make the nation burn to cinders.

COMMUNALISM

Devil has up his sleeve an argument to be resolved in the form of a grouse but God has no time, eternity or patience to hear him out.  So the argument has lingered on up to 21st century.

Satan goes about with a heavy heart unable to contain depression bordering the one only dilemma of diabolical dimension, namely his having to singly bear the burden of responsibility for swarming the world with crime and communalization.   Incidentally, his grumble is linked to man’s complicity in augmenting the quantum of sins in equal measure but still having been spared chastisement by the creator.  What is more, man even gained access to the fruit of redemption which God Almighty deemed it expedient to deny it to the devil.

In a nutshell, why chastise devil alone for the sin of crime and communalization, which man is equally prone to commit?  Obviously, hiccups such as this by Satan cannot remove his primary guilt of being the fabricator of sin or communalism.

But how does India view the present day scenario or how does the nation fix responsibility for select groups of parties and people dangling communal card over a nation whose only concern is to live a life of harmony and peace?  Which way does the needle of suspicion point to and what are the consequences of communalism over a nation and people that have come a long way from the colonial rule of the British empire to the present day era where huge strides have been made on the progress and development front with oneness of purpose and a concerted determination or dedication?

The nation salutes the Father of the Nation Mohanadas Karamchand Gandhi and the Indian National Congress for the colossal victory achieved through centuries of tireless efforts and sacrifices endured and which saw the nation celebrating its day of independence from colonial rule on August 15, 1947.  There is no denying the fact that it was the first milestone achieved on the way to progress and development.  Ever since then, the Indian National Congress has never looked back.

It was nowhere a smooth sail for a nation which witnessed centuries of foreign rule that had more or less shattered its resources including wealth and ability to fulfill aspirations of its citizens under a newly established government of its own.  Despite severe crunch faced by people in the supply of essential commodities and the devastating wars thrust upon it by its neighbors, the country stood firm to convert all odds to the advantage of its people.  All credit for the hard work and endurance during the pre-post-independence era wholly goes to the Congress Party in the company of scores of illustrious, eminent and dedicated people working day in and day out which enabled the nation achieve tremendous strides to the extent of establishing a viable trend for the nation to forge ahead in the sphere of self-sufficiency and advancement.

By all reckoning India has always held on to that one unique tag namely “Unity in Diversity” whereby many Historians have singled out this particular nation for its exemplary feature of having survived for centuries in a state of harmony despite the nation always being thronged by diverse people and communities.  Although India held on to being a nation which has witnessed much aggressiveness by way of wars, battles, rivalries what has always marred the image of the country is communal strife between Hindus and Muslims which always kept the flare of tempers up to the extent of an outright partition of the land becoming inevitable immediately after the British were ousted from the country.  However, despite such partition, the venom of communal hatred never left the land, which saw several large-scale arson, loot, civil strife, mayhem and even extremism of a different kind.

NDA coalition from 1998-2004 clearly manifested the failure of a coalition government under the most communal party of India namely Bhartiya Janata Party.  As a matter of fact their winning the elections during 1998 could not survive the term after the AAIDMK had pulled out of the coalition.  Even the Parliament attack and Kargil war signaled the NDA as a failure both on the foreign policy front as also in tackling terrorism.  Vajpayee’s remark connecting extremism to Muslims signaled a change of guard at the center and after Vajpayee called for early elections on the assumption that the NDA would romp home with a clear majority the error had done the trick and got the NDA off the hook of having any attachment to the ethos of the nation, having been responsible for having given a communal color to a nation that took pride in asserting the simile namely “Unity in Diversity”.

During the rule of BJP and its NDA allies the administrative machinery had come to a standstill and the NDA government too became a flop with sinking image and sagging fortunes of a beleaguered PM in Atal Behari Vajpayee whose only concern more than the interest of the people and boosting of the welfare programs of the nation was diverted and concentrated on to his ailing knee.  Vajpayee was the NDA’s unilateral choice but the knee was Vajpayee’s choice to be preoccupied with and not the interest of the nation.  Mismanagement, misgovernment, downright administrative failures as well  as providing opportunities to extremists and misguided elements to take the nation for a ride was the forte of BJP and the NDA allies who spent nearly a whole decade shattering the glories piled up by Congress Party through years of suffering and painstaking efforts.

BJP under NDA rule wasted the previous years which were climax to modernization programs set in motion by Smt. Indira Gandhi and in succession Shri Rajiv Gandhi.  However, whatever damage within the nation was given shape to have been authored by the communally infested elements who, time and again, made the nation and states their target and innocent human beings their fodder.  The constant attempt to trumpet communal hatred against other communities apart, the intermittent attempt to make the neighboring Pakistan a target for vilification campaign had ignited senseless wars at the border which in effect even wasted huge amounts through irresponsibly allowing a neighbor to bully a giant that is India.  The nation burnt under devastating and grueling economy and extremism while the communalists looked the other way about as to how a structure could be castled in the air of their communal imagination.  In a nutshell the nation during the rule of NDA government was converted to a spent cartridge at the hands of communalists under self-centered elements styled RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, Ram Sena etc.  Not only the welfare of people was eroded within, but the reputation of a nation built up by Nehru-Gandhi combine was flung to the grabbing hands of communalists to raze the name and reputation of India to depths of Ayodhya while extremists in Kandahar made hay while the sun of NDA shone in the hands of BJP, RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, Ram Sena etc.

As a result of arrogance by a select few communal people and parties and in their quest for cheap fame, power and popularity, the communalists had shrugged off the peaceful process of achieving a status among super powers by upholding its committed ideals as taught by the Father of the nation and as laid down within the Constitution.  The communalists under BJP in chorus with NDA allies squandered away the fortunes piled up by Congress Party step by step through many years of dedicated hard work and toil.  However, in many ways than one it was the deviation in policies and upsetting of the singular image of diversity and communal harmony that the nation lagged behind on many fronts.  And what would have earned them a popular mandate from the majority community of the nation to be relishing the glut for power but communalism?

However, for Congress Party no criteria may appear as irritating as that of the communalists dangling communal card in the face of a people who gained roots from the spirit of sacrifice and oneness without having recourse to any sort of disparity whatsoever.  As such, no Congress-man can ever be blamed as being communal since he nurtures within him a secular blood bordering noble ideals as taught to him by the leadership starting from Mahatma Gandhi down to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and his descendants which torch as of today is being upheld by Shri Rahul Gandhi with dignity and solemn respect.

Communalism plays the demon, religion plays the coin and the umpire viz. the world around has its role cut out to deal the ultimate blow.  Whichever way one might toss the face of Hinduism or Islam neither would show its real face wherein at the core of their show of spirituality breeds a simmering discontentment, a vengeful hatred and a show of “who the hell” defiance at the other.

Incidentally, for ages the so called demon has played foul with not only the two faces of the same coin namely Hinduism and Islam, rather it has even wrought a frightening spell on the Indian mindset which fails to provide a respite in the form of an everlasting peace.

The raging inferno has on umpteen occasions given rise to cause for contemplation as to where exactly the divide lies? Overall, the topic is not only food for thought but an excuse as well to ponder over the state of affairs of a nation which owns a majority in Hindus and a near majority with Muslims.  Incidentally, the hitch is nowhere related to the numerical aspect of the two communities, rather it has much to do with the core features of the two religions which derive logic from random beliefs and ancient superstitions tucked away in the annals of age old history.  What would puzzle one is the manner in which myths and mysteries accepted as dogma by both the communities are followed up in the modern day world extolling the barbarity of old as being relevant even today. So much so, the present day generation only needs to give vent to their expressions which become headlines on communal frenzy for the media till the fire of rage is doused through a period of time and sequence.  Naturally, any attempt to resolve the age old dispute through conviction, logic or by way of reason can only meet with failure.

Given the fact that communalism is as much of a world phenomenon, yet the aggressive manner in which Indian populace consisting of Hindus and Muslims react to it may be worth taking note of.  Incidentally, it is this one compelling feature which has left the two neighbors namely India and Pakistan maintaining a vengeful distance from each other. It needs to be reiterated that immediately after the struggle of independence, there was a semblance of peace and oneness among the two neighbors but soon things turned sour and the status quo returned to haunt the two soon thereafter.

Communalization of society has played foul with not only the society and people but with the national character as well which has over the years been made a tool to create divide within the secular features of a large nation like India.   It has even wrought a frightening spell that fails to provide a respite in the form of an everlasting peace.  Who holds the string of authority for manipulating the divide on communal lines?

Communalization of society has been the singular achievement by a party which is loathed by majority of people as also by majority of states all over the country.  The nation too is greatly concerned about the attempts by Bhartiya Janata Party [BJP], which in effect is a protégé of the communal organizations under name and style of RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, Ram Sena etc. to be constantly antagonizing the system, the government, the people, the nation and above all the constitution put together by eminent and dignified men of yesteryears.   With communalism on, the devil has become relevant for a society which is awfully stung by the universal, though indigenously fabricated evil called communalism.

Communalization is one trait which distinguishes BJP as the bad omen for the nation.  Precisely, it was through misadventures by this communal party namely the BJP that the nation was pushed to the brink of not only human disasters but even several wars with its neighbors, civil strife, arson, looting, maiming and desecrating the sanctity of nation, people and the constitution.  It was communalism which paved the way for partition, it was communalism which alienated or distanced the Muslim population, it was communalism again which brought about the concept of extremism, it was communalism which sparked riots which saw toll of thousands of human beings mainly Muslims made to vanish for no crime of theirs, razing of Babri Masjid at Ayodhya, Kargil war, Parliament attack, Kandahar plane hijack, need naming any more instances and repercussions of communalism which keep destroying peace and communal harmony of citizens of the very land that is shelter to over 1.3 billion people?

BJP is looked upon by most politicians, professionals, intellectuals, historians and righteous people as the one only party with the meanest and narrowest of approach that seeks to divide people or segregate them on the line of community, religion, caste or category, thus constantly giving rise to a simmering discontentment, disharmony and sense of alienation to many sections of the one only society which is characterized as Indian.  The only look out by the communal party namely BJP is to pile up numbers for assuming the role of opposition in the world’s largest democracy so as to enforce barbarity of medieval ages and allow the return of social evils and horrendous atrocities of old.  It has enough potential to devastate the land through its communal propaganda and one would never know what exactly is cooking in the minds of these communal elements to wreak a Gujarat or an Orissa or even a Karnataka model riot to send the nation burning.

But, if the main opposition in India fails to perceive their communal agenda as being a plank to achieve their solitary goal of capturing power at all costs for enabling them starve the millions the manner they like or to deal out a Gujarat-carnage of 2002 or Orissa-1999-2007, Ayodhya-1992, Karnataka-2010-2012 etc. and even communalize the entire nation to see it retreating to medieval ages, Congress Party would definitely have to pull the rug from below their agenda because the national party cannot allow devastation of the land that is India.

Come all – give the right boost to the one only disciplined party every survived for last over hundreds of years.  Congress Party alone has the pulse of the nation.  Congress Party alone has the best of its people.  Congress Party alone has the determination to resolve common man’s issues.  Congress Party alone can take the nation out of the mire of corruption and criminality.  Give Congress Party a scintillating victory at the Lok Sabha Elections 2014 and see the nation riding ahead of even the Super Power of Today’s world.  Watch it – Vote it – Live it all like a true Indian Citizen.

Awake India!  Awake all.  Awake the young. Awake the old.  Rise up to a new age.  Awake with a ray of hope.  Congress Party, the trusted ones of the dignified days of freedom struggle, the elite of Mahatma Gandhi’s chosen guild, the chosen ones of the independent India which stood undeterred to steer the nation clear of hurdles under a charismatic Smt. Indira Gandhi followed by a dignified Shri Rajiv Gandhi and which India made giant strides to this very day under the spectacular guidance of Smt. Sonia Gandhi is beckoning you to assert yourselves forthright.  It was Congress Party all the way from the British era right up to this very day that stood to listen to your voice, to answer your call to rejoice at your from foreign rule, your call in peril, your call in distress and your call to act which it did to your heart’s content.  Congress Party is the one only voice of sanity and choice of a new age that can best be defined as the independent India.

There are areas within the Constitution which need a re-look.  That can be undertaken only if the party has the requisite majority to deal with dissent.  India has arrived at the portal of a new age, a new era and a new century which must get translated in to action and the action need percolate in to a new life.  A life that should portray a new India of advanced vision.

You all strengthened the hands of Smt. Indira Gandhi, Shri Rajiv Gandhi and yea – that of Smt. Sonia Gandhi.  You deserved your choice and Congress Party stood the ground to deal out your due, your justice and your vision.  Today the same nation and party is calling upon the teeming millions of an independent India.  Rise up ye people,  Rise with one voice and stay and stand firm with the one only hand that has always been extended to your needy hour – stand with your party at this hour of need to hoist the tricolor with pride now and for all times to come!
